Logline: A cantankerous mini monster named The Ruffian has made a local reserve its home. Despite the monster’s attempts to drive out the community, the kids always return with the same goal; to befriend the misunderstood monster.

The Ruffian was born as a stepping stone project. What do I have to offer 5-9yo kids? I felt attachment theory would be an interesting social structure to explore for a gang of kids and the special relationships you can form with animals.
