I was talking with a friend about making a political thriller for kids. It reminded me that we had that stuff in the 90s. Batman Animated and Gargoyles stood out to me as having a political bent in their storytelling. Apogee wants to revitalise those heavy hitters as well as explore a future without human faces to latch on to. It's not the form that needs to be relatable, it's the characterisation and journey.
